Airport Information

Most people visiting from far away get to Brooklyn and Manhattan by flying into JFK or La Guardia airport, each of which provide shuttle, taxi and subway service directly from the airports to whatever destination you desire.

Train Information

Numerous train options are available for a comfortable, fast ride into the city, with major stops that are right in the vicinity of your specific destination. Check out NJ Transit, Long Island Railroad and Metro-North for more information. The Atlantic Terminal, the westernmost stop on Long Island Railroad, is located at Flatbush and Atlantic Avenue and serves Downtown Brooklyn as well as Lower Manhattan via Subway.

Manhattan Area Transportation

The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) subway system is the most affordable way to get around the city. Just get yourself a subway map and a MetroCard and you'll be able to get all over the city at a very reasonable rate. The "R" train takes you right into the city from Brooklyn.

Taxi Cab
Who doesn't want to ride in an NYC taxi at least once? While it may be pricier, it's a lot faster, so if you have the cash, hail one of the ubiquitous yellow taxicabs to take you where you need to go.
